Building and history

Herresshof Caribbean 50 fiberglass centerboard ketch built by the Shepang GFK Herreshoff shipyard in 1978 according to designs by the famous architect Natanael Herreshoff.
Built in 10 units, this yacht is designed for both offshore and coastal sailing, thanks to its shallow draft. Reassuring with its central cockpit where all controls are centralized.
All interior woodwork is Burmese teak. The deck is teak.
The boat had a refit in 2018: paint, varnish, electricity, portholes, upholstery, etc....
To date, she has been regularly maintained and is ready to sail.
All safety, diving, galley and tooling equipment is still on board, as are numerous spare parts.

Construction

Ketch dériveur intégral de type Herresshof Caribbean 50 en polyester, construit par le chantier Shepang GFK Herreshoff en 1978 sur les plans du célèbre architecte Natanael Herreshoff.
Fabriqué en 10 exemplaires, ce voilier est conçu pour la navigation hauturière et côtière grâce à son faible tirant d’eau. Rassurant avec son cockpit central où toutes les commandes sont centralisées.
Toutes les boiseries intérieures sont en teck de Birmanie. Le pont est en teck.
Le bateau a eu un refit en 2018 : peintures, vernis, électricité, hublots, sellerie, etc….
A ce jour, il est entretenu régulièrement et il est prêt à naviguer.
Il reste à bord tout le matériel de sécurité, de plongée, de cuisine, outillage ainsi que de nombreuses pièces de rechange.
