Description

*** PRICE REDUCTION***Unique among all sailboats, the custom 63' trimaran SHOCKWAVE is a versatile platform for the most discerning sailor.A cruising boat capable of 600 mile days on passage and faster than virtually every monohull ever built. A high-octane racing boat...yet with the creature comforts of air-con, hot water, two spacious queen cabins, and a fully-functional salon, galley, head and toy locker. Is she a racer or a cruiser? The answer is decidedly both.Featuring adjustable rake c-foils in the floats, a rotating carbon Lorima rig, a long sprit and the latest in sail technology, Shockwave routinely sails at 1.5-2x wind speed and offers unparalleled sailing performance. Despite her blistering speed, Shockwave can be sailed short-handed with cruising amenities such as electric winches, powered hydraulics, and furlers equipped on all sails.Meticulously updated during an extensive refit in 2019, the vessel has been professionally maintained by the same skipper for 7 years. Shockwave is in excellent turnkey condition, with all new gear, equipment, spares and a comprehensive package of 'extras'.Based on the hulls of the ORMA 60 Fujicolor, Shockwave is a "cruising" ORMA 60. With a reduced beam and rig height and an increased cabin space, Shockwave is a (slightly) tuned down version of the iconic ORMA 60. She is as fast or faster than the fastest racing maxi monohulls and races competitively with the fastest racing multihulls. This performance doesn’t come at the cost of comfort, and it also doesn’t come at the cost of safety or ease of sailing. With a “true wind speed to hull fly” of 22-24 knots, Shockwave can be sailed safely (and flat) well beyond a comparable cruising cat and can sail in excess of 20 knots of wind before needing to take her first reef. The 63' trimaran has far more in the way of accommodation and amenities than can be expected of a typical race boat. Her two queen cabins are spacious and private, with plenty of storage and an ensuite vanity in the Master. The interior includes lithium battery-powered air conditioning, on-demand hot water, a sit down dining table in the salon, an induction cooktop, ample refrigeration, and sleeping accommodations for up to 8 guests in two queen cabins and four singles in the salon.Whether you want to island hop efficiently or crush ocean race records you can have it all onboard Shockwave. Race with a light 5-6 man crew in Les Voiles de St. Barth one week, then go kiteboarding with the family in the Grenadines the next. With her large toy locker and aft deck shower to rinse gear, you don't even have to choose what toys to bring!Simply stated, there is no other platform more versatile and suited to truly high performance cruisingandracing. If you value speed, safety and comfort and don't want to sacrifice one for the other, contact us for more details on SHOCKWAVE.Show More
