BROKER'S REMARKS: With a show-stopping light blue hull and nearly every factory option available, Beneteau America displayed "Equanimity" at the 2010 Annapolis Boat Show as a spectacular showcase model of the 2011 Beneteau 40 production line! Since then, this 2-cabin cruiser/racer has been well-loved, meticulously maintained, choicely updated, and impressively raced in numerous regattas throughout the Southeast. She is currently located in St Augustine, Florida and is ready for her next adventures!
BUILDER'S REMARKS: This fine yacht, the Beneteau 40, won "Best Midsize Cruiser" in Cruising World's 2008 Boat of the Year contest. Known as a clean and purposeful cruiser, the Beneteau 40 was designed by naval architects Berret/Racoupeau with the stylizing collaboration of Nauta Design for the interior. In the cockpit, the Beneteau 40 is appointed with two steering stations with navigation instruments nearby for ease of handling. The spacious and luminous interior of the Beneteau 40 is highlighted with rich, light-colored select Moabi hardwood and stainless steel to create an essence of warmth and comfort.

Construction

CONSTRUCTION:
Hull of hand-laid solid GRP bonded to a structural grid/hull liner of directional fiberglass/GRP for a strong, stiff, light composite. Vinylester hull barrier coat to resist osmotic blistering and zone-specific stitchmat laminates for specific increased strength optimization.
Cored GRP sandwich construction for stiffness, thermal and acoustic insulation and lighter weight. Solid fiberglass reinforcements in high load areas. Integral unidirectional GRP deck beams for added strength. Main bulkheads bonded 360° to the hull and deck for rigid torsional and compressive strength.
