The First 24 SE is a cutting-edge, high-tech sport cruiser that can give an exhilarating performance in a flexible, simple-to-use, and easy-to-maintain design. She can be trailered, of course, and because to her clever mast-raising system, which enables a single operator to launch and sail, she has access to a wide range of cruising and racing grounds, from international one-design regattas to coastal adventure races. Standard Features

CONSTRUCTION

• Hull and deck constructed with vacuum infusion of Vinyl ester resin, Airex PVC foam and Soric GRP sandwich with unidirectional and multiaxial laminates

• The hull is reinforced with infused GRP stringers in the keel and in bow sections

• The deck comes with moulded non-skid

• Two transoms hung rudders built of GRP foam sandwich and aluminium casings

• Hull and deck are moulded in single tone off-white RAL 9003

• The hull is prepared for the application of antifouling

• Underwater areas finished in gelcoat and faired, with possible flaws and imperfections, prepared for sanding and application of epoxy primer and antifouling

KEEL ARRANGEMENT

• Swinging keel build in GRP vinyl ester composite with lead bulb insert

• Custom made manually operated stainless steel keel winch

• Keel head and edges protected with epoxy primer

• Slotstrip / keel lips closing the exit of the keel box

DECK EQUIPMENT

• 45 cm / 18-inch high pushpit, pulpit and stanchions with a single lifeline

• Two lifeline cushions

• Stainless steel bow and stern mooring cleats

• Stainless steel chain plates for shrouds and forestay

• Coachroof mounted opening hatch 58 x 58 cm / 23 x 23 inches for access to the cabin

• 2x Harken STA20 winches on the coachroof

• 2x Ronstan jib tracks with blocks on the coachroof

• Spinlock clutches for halyards and control lines

• Ronstan blocks and cleats for other controls

• Carbon-look tiller with Ronstan tiller extension

• 2x First branded rope bags from Outils Océans

• Tempered glass windows on each side of the coachroof

• North Sails mainsail – 24 m2/258 ft2, Pentex laminate, triradial cut, with two reefs and bolt rope

• North Sails furling jib – 15,3 m2/164 ft2, Pentex laminate, triradial cut with vertical battens and hanks on the luff 

INTERIOR

• Bulkheads and furniture lightly covered with a satin finish top paint and white RAL 9003 gel coat on the moulded parts for light, clean and low maintenance finish

Bow section:

• Double V-berth with insubmersibility volume underneath

• Light and ventilation through big foredeck hatch

Central saloon area:

• Bright and spacious main cabin area with large companionway hatch

• Long berths/benches with storage place under the front 1.5 m and insubmersibility volume under the rest

• Folding covers for the storage area

• Plexiglas companionway washboard and sliding hatch

• EVA foam padding on the floor

• Two Wichard folding pad eyes for lifting straps on the keel-box
