Bruce Farr designed, tall mast, deep keel Beneteau 50 owners version that is built for blue water sailing and short handed operation. Only the 2nd owner, built in France based on owners configuration for long haul sailing with 4 water tanks totally 450g and dual 68 gallon fuel tanks.

Deck layout on the Beneteau 50 includes wide sidedecks, a teak-covered bulwark, and judiciously located hatches that ensure easy and safe circulation on deck. The 50 features a dual cockpit configuration. The guest cockpit is well-protected and offers comfort for eight people around the standard table, while the crew cockpit has two steering positions and easy-access winches for the helmsman. A built-in step and a hinged door lead from the stern to an uncluttered passageway to both cockpits. 
This Beneteau 50 Owners Version offers two aft guest cabins and one forward master Stateroom all with ensuite heads. A crew cabin is in the forepeak on this boat also with head, sink and bunk.  Light and ventilation are ensured by 11 opening hatches, 14 opening ports, 6 fixed skylights, and 4 dorade boxes.

Interior Layout

The crew cabin is forward with access from an overhead deck hatch.  From the interior forward is the master cabin with a centerline queen size bunk and an overhead deck hatch.  Storage is provided in both lockers and drawers.  The head with separate stall shower is to port.  Step aft into the salon with the galley along the starboard side.  on port is a U-shapes settee with dining table and centerline settee.  The navigation station is located next aft on starboard.  There are port and starboard aft cabins with double bunks and additional storage.  From the salon, steps lead up to the cockpit with wheel steering and engine controls.
