Description

ARTEMIS, a 24' 9" Buzzard's Bay 15, was designed by Nathanael G. Herreshoff and built in 1910.  The first 11 boats of the Buzzards Bay 15 Class were delivered to members of the Beverly Yacht Club in Marion, Massachusetts for the summer racing season of 1899.  The Buzzards Bay 15 was the second of the Herreshoff One-designs.The boat was built around 1910 and was restored by IYRS in Maine in 2004. Survey carried out in 2016 by Herreshoff expert Fred Biederbach III Jr. and he found her in good condition. Report available for inspectionThe sails are from Nat Wilson (the famous Maine sailmaker). An older set (which you can still sail very well with) is about 18 years old, I estimate, and a new set ($4200 excl.) that is still unused. The bronze cleats and clamps are by Jim Reineck, also from Maine, who specializes in fittings for old Herreshoff boats. The boat is in the Mystic register of the BB15 at no. 95 under her previous name "Saelah".Inclusive a good as new (tilting) road trailer with official papersShow More
