4 VIRTUAL TOURS - 1 VIDEO - 103 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS & BROKER'S COMMENTS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS 1987 GRAND BANKS 36 CLASSIC!

If you are looking for a classic, iconic boat with charm and grace the Grand Banks 36 is literally a classic in all aspects. It is the first model built in the Grand Banks fleet and continues to be revered to this day. They are known and respected for their seaworthiness due to the semi-displacement hull, full keel, hard chines and deep bow. The lines of a Grand Banks 36 make her easy to recognize across a bay.

With this 1987 model year, Grand Banks added six inches to the length and four inches to the beam to make it slightly more stable and to provide more interior volume.

This particular boat is equipped with a bow and stern thruster, fully enclosed flybridge, and a Wallas forced air diesel furnace; all contributing to easy handling, enjoyable passages and extended cruising. Her teak floors have been beautifully refinished, the upholstery is in very good condition, the main and guest accommodations each have ensuite baths; the layout is perfect for a couple cruising with friends or create meaningful memories with your own family, as the current owner did.

Note: personal items and art not included in the sale of the vessel.

Accommodations

Wide decks and tall stainless railings provide a sense of safety and security when boarding the boat or deploying fenders. You enter the main cabin via a starboard door at the lower helm station or on the port side just aft of the galley. The main cabin has settees port and starboard with a very large folding table between. The galley, with a Princess three burner propane stove and oven, Seafreeze refrigerator, large stainless sink, storage above and below and ample counter space, is forward on the port side. The lower helm with a Garmin MFD, controls, and VHF is forward on the starboard side. Large windows throughout allow visibility for maneuvering at the helm and beautifully enhances the teak interior and freshly refinished floors. Heat is provided by a Wallas forced air diesel furnace so you may cruise year-round. Furthest forward in the bow is the chain locker followed by the guest accommodations. There is an insert for the berth so you may choose to create one large sleeping area or they may remain separate for two ample sleeping options. There is a large hanging locker and drawers below the berth for storage. The guest head has a manual flush toilet; a thoughtful addition of a shower curtain keeps many belongings dry while showering, versus a typical “wet head” arrangement as on many boats. The aft cabin is considered the owners' accommodations; a double berth is starboard with a single on the port side. The ensuite head has a vacuflush toilet, shower, sink and storage. A large hanging locker and drawers provide storage. A companionway in the aft cabin opens to the cockpit for additional access to the boat or to enjoy the fresh air at night while sleeping at anchor. Both staterooms have doors for privacy (please see photos).
