1985 28' Bertram Sport Fish 2nd Owner Extensive refit completed 2019 2020 Current hours 450 Everything aft of cabin removed down to the stringers and bare fiberglass then rebuilt. New installation of twin Marine Power GM 5.7 L Vortec MPI's Fresh water-cooled engines. Original Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmissions. New custom fiberglass and aluminum engine beds and mounts. Through bolted to stringers and glassed to new engine room bulkheads. New 1.25-inch prop shafts and new bronze props. All new bronze sea cocks, Sea Stainers, New stuffing boxes. Rudders and new hydraulic steering system. Of course, engine fresh water flush connects. New hoses (i.e. exhaust, raw water, bilge, waste, fuel line, fuel fill, fuel vents, A/C intake, A/C overboard, fresh water fills and vents). As this was a complete repower all areas related to the engines have been upgraded and or replaced. All new bilge pumps, float switches and bilge alarms. Entire boat rewired 12 vdc and 110 ac systems up graded. New Lenco electric trim tabs. New ground bonding system. New custom Aluminum 240-gallon fuel tank. Original tank was 120 gallons. You now have the range everyone wanted but did not have. Major Cabin refit includes new Vee Berth Sunbrella cushions, Modified galley layout, counter tops, all teak painted out to white. Seatee area new cushions with Hi Lo table that make a berth.  Head area redone with new toilet and complete holding tank system. New water tanks, fresh water pump and new plumbing. New shower sump pump and drain system.  New A/C system with all new ducting. Flybridge has a New Bimini top fabric and modified s/s frame. Upper cushions have been redone, The teak is painted white. Stereo and speakers. 10” Lowrance GPS Plotter/Bottom machine, Horizon VHF and antenna. The Bertram 28 Splash does a reasonable 20 KT cruise @3200 PRM @20 GPH so she is a very capable fishing cruiser.
