Manufacturer Provided Description

The Cabo 35 Flybridge Sportfisher is built by one the most successful boat builders in the business. Knowledgeable boat owners, fishermen, and the American financial community all consider the founders of Cabo Yachts to be two of the most successful builders in the world. Henry Mohrschladt and Michael Howarth began their first successful partnership building Pacific Seacraft sailboats. Back then, a serious offshore sailor planning an epic journey always chose (or aspired to) one of these boats. When Mohrschladt and Howarth sold the sailboat company, they decided they really wanted to build sportfishing boats. The result is what is seen here: the Cabo 35 Flybridge. Saltwater Sportsman claims that “the Cabo 35 lays down one of the cleanest wakes I've seen. With minimal turbulence behind the twin props, the surface trolling lures run exceptionally well from 1,000 rpm (10 mph) all the way up to 1,500 rpm (16 mph)." A 130-square-foot cockpit is unheard of on a 35-footer. Twin tackle boxes on each side of the cabin door carry everything to rig for any species that might be encountered. An industrial-strength transom door allows even the largest fish to be easily brought aboard and smaller fish can be safely stored in two large in-deck fish boxes. Everything else a serious angler demands can be found within easy reach, from rod holders to fresh- and saltwater washdowns. In fact, Cabo is so serious about this boat's fishing ability, that Henry Mohrschladt designed the cockpit before anything else, then built a boat around it. The flybridge with the aft-situated controls allows the helmsman an unobstructed view of the entire cockpit. When the fish moves off the corner, the Cabo 35 will beat it to wherever it's headed. The main cabin provides loads of room for socializing in elegant comfort. A portside galley affords plenty of room for the chef to create multi-course masterpieces, uncrowded by the guests at the starboard settee that easily seats five. There's additional seating portside aft of the galley. At the same time, there's precious little dead space, because storage abounds beneath settees and behind bulkheads. Below, a spacious double cabin features a large, double island berth on centerline and again, storage that puts many larger boats to shame. A spacious head with a separate stall shower adjoins the forward stateroom.
