Raven's Eye is a single-owner Back Cove 41 built and commissioned by a highly experienced yachtsman.  She has benefited from professional management since new and features an extensive list of factory and dealer-installed upgrades. With only 400 hours on the Cummins QSM 11 715 hp engine she presents in bristol condition.  A pre-sale survey will be conducted to prepare Raven's Eye for immediate sale. 

 

Hull number 30 (2016) of over 100 Back Cove 41’s built since 2014, Raven’s Eye, is a perfect Pacific Northwest cruiser having both a securely-enclosed, two-stateroom/two-head layout, capable of speeds up to 27mph, and a large cockpit with an electrically-retractable sun shade for sunny days at anchor. Back Cove 41 - Manufacturer's Description

The Back Cove 41 is the perfect choice for serious cruisers.

The flagship of the Back Cove fleet, the Back Cove 41 is fitted with an efficient single diesel engine and straight shaft. The addition of thrusters, a generator set, and reverse cycle heat and air conditioning systems make her maneuverable, efficient, and comfortable. Her interior is balanced between two luxurious staterooms, each with a private head. Nautically sensible details and Maine craftsmanship can be found throughout her American cherry interior.

On the main deck, a centralized galley serves the open air cockpit as easily as the salon. Long range cruisers will appreciate the dual stainless steel refrigerator drawers, freezer mounted below the helm seat, ceramic cooktop, and convection microwave. To starboard, her U-shaped settee converts to a comfortable dinette while enjoying meals on board. Her cockpit is open and welcoming, perfect for cool mornings and sunny afternoons.

Maintenance History

Raven's Eye Maintenance History since new.  

· The vessel has undergone regular inspection and servicing of systems since delivery with oversight provided by Kim Smith of Tanbark Marine and Mark Enstad of Bellingham Yachts (the local Back Cove dealer).

· The Cummins engine and Onan generator have been serviced annually by Tri-County Diesel Marine in Bellingham, an authorized Cummins/Onan dealer; annual service included complete oil, filter, zinc, and, if needed, impeller and coolant changes with the heat exchanger serviced and block heater replaced in 2022.

· The Simrad navigation electronics have been updated with EVO 3 touch screens by Wave Point Marine and the entire system software checked and updated by Pacific Marine Yacht Systems of Bellingham in 2021.

· The exterior teak varnishing (using Bristol two-part coating) has been completed annually by Shipwright, Mike Sten, who also has replaced all water and septic system filters annually. Annual waxing has been professionally applied.

· The bottom has been inspected and the underwater zincs have been replaced twice annually by R&R Moorings.

· All AGM batteries (10) were replaced with new Lifeline AGM batteries in 2022 by Pacific Marine Yacht Systems.

· All fire extinguishers have been recertified (most recently in 2022) on a regular basis by Washington Fire Safety and carbon dioxide sensors have been replaced by Tanbark Marine.

· The last regular haul out was conducted in 2021 at Pacific Marine Center in Anacortes; the boat uses a bottom paint called CopperCoat, a hard copper finish paint over an epoxy undercoating, which was applied at time of delivery and which is rated to last for ten or more years. The gold cove stripe was re-applied in 2021 at the time of this haul out.

· Additional Repairs: replacement of the convection oven by Bellingham Yachts; engine hatch lift system by Tanbark Marine/Mike Sten; replacement of the freezer unit and a solenoid in the washer/dryer by Pacific Marine Yacht Systems; Simrad screens and depth sounder control unit by Wave Point Marine; shower sump pump by Tanbark Marine.
