"Lightly used and second owner 2014 Beneteau 49' Gran Turismo"."Bark Barque"is a low hour (547-554 hrs) well serviced and maintained Volvo 600's with IPS drives located in Annapolis.A "must see"if you are in the market for a roomy cruiser that is comfortable for weekend getaways or dockside living!"Bark Barque"has been hauled and winter storred/shrink wrapped at Smiths Marina for the past 5 years and her Volvos have been serviced by one of the finest Volvo mechanics in our area. She is complete with fresh bottom paint and recent oil changes, make her"turn key"for your 2023 summer fun!Owner Comments:"Bark Barque"Entering into retirement, we had big plans for how we would travel down the coast. And our Beneteau 49, sure fit the bill for doing that.  Two cabins, a complete galley and ample space makes for a nice home away from home on the water. We were looking for a vessel that was large enough to fit the two of us and more importantly, our four corgis (hence then name, “Bark Barque”) on an extended voyage.  Our lack of real experience notwithstanding, we purchased our first large boat not long after we first set eyes on her in Connecticut.Since then, it’s been an adventure of getting experienced handling the boat (with just the two of us) and learning all the intricacies of maintaining her in peak condition.  As an engineer, I’ve enjoyed literally crawling my way through every system I could access.  This has been a real education. We’ve managed to do a few short trips across the bay and down to St Michaels, but nothing longer has ever materialized, and we’ve had some life events that are now making that even less likely.Ultimately, our dreams didn’t match up with the reality of how our life has evolved.  On top of that, the learning curve for a husband/wife duo learning to handle a vessel of this size on the job was steeper than we expected.  Making the time to do an extended cruise just never seemed to be in the cards, so we’ve decided to step back and rethink what we can really handle and what would be a better match for our capabilities and lifestyle._________________________Things I’ve fixed…Replaced battery on Generator (that was the source of the weird smell when we got it)Updated/Repaired the Wifi on the plotters.  It now works and can connect to the internet if provided an access point (I use a cellular modem).Repaired a broken wiper arm/motor assembly.  That was a real pain in the ass to find…access is in the ceiling of the starboard bathroom ceiling.Full Keel diagnosed the “low transmission pressure” alarm in the starboard pod.  They said it was a clogged screen, and it happens much more infrequently now, but does still happen on occasion.  It might be worth a call to see if they can take another look at the screen again.I replaced the salon radio/CD player.  It no longer plays CDs (they don’t sell on that does), but it has a nifty touch screen display, etc.  And it also has WiFi .I replaced the TV in the forward cabin.  That wasn’t there when we got it.I replaced the TV in the Salon.  It was way out of date.I repaired an intermittent connection on the radar that was causing it to shut down when starting.I repaired/rebuilt the vac-u-flush vacuum generator. We had one of the toilets professionally repaired.I cleaned out all the faucet aerator screens.  They were all clogged.I repaired the galley faucet (twice).I repaired/replaced the regulator on the fresh water system.  The boat uses all European connector systems, so I had to 3D print a tool to be able to take the pipes apart.  I still have a little maintenance to do on that.I rebuilt both struts on the outside table.  They now work, but still need to be programmed.I’m about to rebuild the air conditioning fresh water pump.  Waiting on the kit.The aft cabin air conditioner is throwing a breaker.  I’ve called in someone to take a look at that.I cleaned out/repaired the salon ice maker, but I’ve never turned it back on.  No real need.I replaced the grill plate and griddle for the outside grill.  The old ones were a mess.Last year the Seller had a bunch done at Smith’s Marina…Call us for invoices!
