‘Ghost Ship’ Washes up on Washington State Beach after Months Adrift

Jan. 25 (UPI) — A “ghost ship” that was drifting for at least a few months perplexed beach-goers who found it washed up on a Washington state island.

Twitter user Ryan Clark tweeted a photo Tuesday of the large boat resting on a Whidbey Island beach after it was brought in by the tide.

So let me get this straight – officials have known about this abandoned “ship” drifting around for months, did nothing, endangered all boaters who happened to be operating in the area, then waited for it to wash up on shore….because getting it off the beach will be so much easier and cheaper than just taking it in tow???
    Bureaucratic incompetence never ceases to amaze!
