"Tara", designed by Bill Luders, was built as a custom racer for John "Don" McNamara, a bronze medal Olympian in 5.5 meters who also co-captained the 12 meter "Nefertitti". Don campaigned "Tara" competitively in the SORC.

This vessel is a beautiful example of the CCA rule of the 60s and is still sailing today. An adaptive yawl rig makes her capable of easy handling with a shorthanded crew and  the boat is comfortable  both on the race course and while cruising.

V-berth forward with port and starboard double berths next aft,

Main salon has port and starboard settees as single berths with upper berths outboard

Salon has a drop leaf dining table on center.

The galley is u-shaped and on port with a quarter-berth aft.

The head is opposite on starboard

A Nav station with workbench is located aft on starboard side.  The Cockpit seat hatch opens over starboard workbench.

Incandescent lighting dome lights and reading lights throughout.
