Description

"Built for the sea and built to last", the Victoire range excels in style, comfort, sail performance and safety.
Designed by the famous Dick Koopmans Senior, a renowned Naval Architect, these boats were designed and built with timeless style and build quality and strength in mind. The brand is compared to, and built to compete with, boats such as Hallberg Rassy, Najad, and Oyster.
So when you invest in a Victoire you invest in a truly classic solid seaworthy blue water cruising boat. The Victoire 1200 is a high quality Dutch build yacht perfect for long distance cruising.

TIAGO is new on the market, and has been owned now by the current owners for 6 years. They are the third owners. Their adventures on her began in The Netherlands, then they ventured on to Morocco, Canary Islands, the Caribbean, Cuba, French Polynesia and then a long stay over in New Zealand. Harboured in NZ during Covid, they refitted her extensively, and then, when the green flag was raised for travel again, they journeyd on to Malaysia via Fiji, Vanuatu and Indonesia! During this time they were full time live aboards and have always taken care of Tiago, sparing no expense to keep her in ship shape condition in preparation for keeping safe in the high seas.
They have absolutely had the time of their lives on board her, and have maintained and upgraded her with excellent attention and detail. She has wanted for nothing, and is currently in very good condition.

Tiago is a 2 cabin version of the 1200s, with a double Vberth forward, and the master starboard side cabin aft. She has an extremely large port side storage locker which is accessible via a door in the galley, or via the cockpit lazarette. She has an extremely well equipped L shaped galley, with a step down into the cosy midships saloon. The centre table folds out on both sides to provide service to both the U shaped port side settees, and the linear 4 seat sofa on the starboard side. Walking forward you pass the bathroom and shower to post, on your way to the Vberth in the bow of the boat. There is ample storage, headroom, ventilation and natural light. She is charming, with well dressed timber throughout, and the brand new upholstered settee cushions compliment the timber, adding charm, and a real sense of home.

In 2017/ 2018 the owners invested in a lot of new items and upgrades for their boat. Inclusive of a new main sail, (2017) new storm sail (2018) new Gennaker (2017) new foresail (2017) as well as new standing rigging and running rigging in 2018. Also including a new Windpilot Pacific self steering windvane, Raymarine navigation equipment and a range of Victron equipment.

An extensive refit was carried out in New Zealand, addressing some of the wear and tear that can be expected from cruising half of the globe, re-applying the coppercoat antifoul and refurbishing the engine components and the drive train components.

The AGM house batteries were new in 2022, and the solar panels in 2019. The chain and anchor were also new in 2018, and
re-galvanised in 2022. This is just one example of the impeccable care these owners have given to TIAGO. Proof of their constant upkeep.

The current owner says it all when she wrote to me saying: "Tiago has proved to be a real tough ship, that kept us safe and comfortable for six years. We trusted her and she made us confident to go on extensive adventures with her all over the world. From spending months on beautiful calm and clear blue anchorages to 35 day ocean crossings. She proved to be a true blue water cruiser.
We took really good care of her, and she took care of us. "

Tiago is a very seaworthy ship with a gorgeous classical design and perfect sail performance for those who seek a stable and comfortable yacht. Currently bethed in the stunning resort marina, REBAK Marina, Langkawi, right on the Andaman Sea and on the border of Thailand.
