Hanse 40

Hanses are known for their robust engineering, easy-sailing capabilities, as well as their stunning good looks Solo V is no different  with all sheets lead aft, and a self-tacking head-sail, single handling a high performance sailing has never been easier!

She is a three cabin 2 head version, the forward cabin with en-suite.
She has slab mainsail reefing, Volvo D2-40 hp diesel engine, Electric windlass, spacious refrigeration, bimini and sprayhood. The twin wheel layout with fold down transom really opens up the cockpit!


Solo V was privately owned until 2017 then spent a few years successfully chartering from 2018 to the start of lock down, since this she has been stored with the idea of the owners continuing enjoying her but the plans have changed and are now looking for a quick sale.


As a result of hurricane Irma she has a new mast, standing rigging and running rigging from 2018. There was a small GRP repair to her starboard side but she has been surveyed as structurally sound and chartering since this.


There is a jobs list to do before you take her sailing, including:
Fair and fill keel keel and scratches and paint bottom
New cabin sole in saloon (its warped from leaking hatch)
Fair and paint port holes (or replace)
Fix leaky hatch (being made watertight this week)
Service winches
Cosmetic interior woodwork needed
Replace propane line
