Description

CSYs are known for their amazing stability in all seas, good sail handling, and toughness. This is a vessel that can take whatever weather is sent her way. Her powerful 50 HP 1985 Perkins has been fully rebuilt with approx. 3000 hrs. and offers years of additional service.

She is sloop rigged with an optional removable inner forestay, has a battened main, roller furling genoa, which allows you to sail comfortably and efficiently in most any wind. Her 5 ½ ft draft means that she holds to course while beating, but also allows you to anchor close to where you need to go.

Her mast is 50ft off the deck, making her fully ICW compliant.

Coming aboard, you will immediately notice the nicely laid out flush deck. The foredeck is recessed, allowing sails and other equipment to be stowed and provide ample view over the bow.

The aft cockpit is open enough for comfort, but is snug enough for passage making. It is kept cool with a full cockpit bimini. All controls are readily available at the wheel helm area. The Perkins engine is also accessible via a hatch in the cockpit sole.

Going below, one is immediately surrounded by the craftsmanship that sets CSY yachts apart. To the port is the galley with three burner stove and refrigeration. To the starboard is the navigation desk and electrical board.

Going forward brings you to the main cabin. On the starboard is a settee with great storage underneath. The dining area is on the port with ample seating for guests. Throughout this vessel you will find wood that is gleaming and well-maintained!

Continuing forward is the owner’s cabin with a good sized island queen for sleeping, more than adequate storage, and plenty of breeze to stay cool. As it is practically midship, this cabin will provide the smoothest ride while underway.

Forward of the owner’s cabin is the head and shower area.

She is currently in the water and ready to go.

The CSYs are classic boats that withstand the test of time. Vimsa has been lovingly maintained by her present owners to get her ready for her next cruises and adventures.
