Il Comet 51 S prodotto dal cantiere Comar Yachts e disegnato da Andrea Vallicelli, è un Cabinato per Crociera/Regata, armato Sloop con una impostazione sportiva a sezioni di prua sottili e un dislocamento medio leggero. La costruzione tutto sandwich sia per lo scafo sia per la coperta, con anima in termanto e balsa incollata sottovuoto alle pelli, laminate con tessuti biassiali e unidirezionali, e resina poliestere. Per una maggiore protezione dall’osmosi, nei primi due strati esterni viene impiegata vinilestere. Del tutto assenti i controstampi strutturali, l’ossatura di rinforzo e costituita da madieri e longheroni resinati alla scocca; le paratie sono invece resinate solo alto, scafo, ma non alla coperta che e rivestita all’interno con it cielino controstampato. ll bulbo e in piombo con piastra di attacco in acciaio inox che si intesta sull’impronta nella carena. In pieno di inox anche l’asse del timone, con frenelli e settore a farfalla. Curate le finiture, pur con quelle sbavature tipiche dei prototipi.Questa barca è una versione armatoriale a 3 cabine e due bagni. Il mobilio interno dell’ampia dinette e le cabine è di pregio con una cura artigianale oggi difficile da trovare. La chiglia è in piombo con un pescaggio ridotto a mt 2.5 che ti permette di entrare agevolmente in tutti i porti. La coperta in teak è in ottime condizioni.La motorizzazione è yanmar 100 cv linea asse,le attrezzature di coperta comprendono 6 winch Arken di cui nr 2 winch elettrici per la randa che ha il sistema di manovra alla tedesca. L’autopilota è uno dei più affidabili, un Autohelm 7000, l’albero è uno Sparcraft verniciato bianco. Le barca ha in dotazione una randa full batten Doyle del 2014 montata su carrelli harken, due fiocchi in dacron del 2015, un gennaker North sail G2 con calza e un altro gennaker north sail montato su frullone bamar rlg10. The all-sandwich construction for both the hull and the deck, with a core in termanto and balsa glued under vacuum to the skins, laminated with biaxial and unidirectional fabrics, and polyester resin. For greater protection against osmosis, vinylester is used in the first two outer layers. Structural countermolds are completely absent, the reinforcing framework is made up of floors and side members resined to the body; the bulkheads, on the other hand, are resin-coated only on the upper part of the hull, but not on the deck which is covered on the inside with a counter-molded ceiling. The bulb is lead with a stainless steel attachment plate that abuts on the imprint in the hull. The rudder shaft is also in full stainless steel, with frenelli and butterfly sector. Attention to the finishes, albeit with those smudges typical of the prototypes. This boat is an owner's version with 3 cabins and two bathrooms. The internal furniture of the large dinette and the cabins is valuable with a craftsmanship that is difficult to find today.
