Manufacturer Provided Description

The Catalina 30 MKIII has been redefined by incorporating some of the best modern features of the popular C-270 and C-320 designs. The transom and cockpit areas reflect the most significant refinements. The new stern section is now dramatically wider at the deck and curves gracefully to form a very functional and spacious boarding platform. The already famous C-30 cockpit is now even more comfortable than ever with wider coamings for outboard seating and new observation seats built into the stern rail. Low maintenance materials have been used extensively to give you more time to enjoy your C-30. New stainless-steel traveler supports improve visibility and reduce friction on halyards. The Catalina 30 MKIII shares the under body and rig of earlier Catalina 30s and is eligible to participate in Catalina one-design events and Class Association activities. Below decks the layout that defined a modern classic has remained true to its heritage but has become even more comfortable and functional with the addition of several thoughtful improvements and subtle refinements. The galley has been made even larger with the design of new custom countertop surfaces. With the larger counter space has come increases in size and number of cupboards and drawers. An all-new dish and cup storage rack better organizes often used items. Varnished teak cabin surfaces are accented by polished brass light fixtures. Natural light has been increased through the addition of three fixed ports in the hull. As with all Catalinas, there is an extensive list of custom equipment, including a choice of wing or fin keel and tall or standard rigs.

Accommodations

Starting forward is a double V-berth with storage beneath.

The head is just aft and to port with a marine toilet, stainless sink, and shower.  To starboard is a teak hanging locker with a set of drawers.

Further aft is the main salon which has an L-shaped dinette with a table that stows against the forward bulkhead for extra room, but also comes down to form a large double bed.  On the starboard side is a settee with additional storage behind and underneath.

The navigation table is just aft of the settee and includes the AC/DC panel and VHF radio.  Behind the nav station is another double berth.

To port is a well-designed, U-shaped galley with lots of storage and ample counter space. Features include- Hot & cold pressure water, 2-burner stove & oven, dual stainless-steel sinks and refrigeration box.

The large cockpit provides additional outdoor “living space”. It can accommodate 7 adults and has a fold-up starboard cockpit table for entertaining.
