Description
The 118ft or 36M custom sail yacht 'ORIEL' was constructed by Y.B.M. at the Gdansk shipyard in Poland with a steel hull recognized for its exceptional quality and thickness, transported later to the Netherlands for completion and launch.
ORIEL, featuring an exquisitely crafted boom of which only two were made, has undergone three refits. These occurred in 2005, 2010 in Barcelona Spain, and most recently before the last season. All associated documentation and maintenance records are available from 2009 and will be provided to prospective buyers upon request.

Oriel's layout comfortably accommodates 10-12 guests overnight in 5 cabins plus a study, inclusive of a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, and 3 twin cabins. Additionally, the yacht can carry up to 5 crew members to ensure a luxurious and relaxed onboard experience.
Additional Information
ORIEL is fitted with a 40 meter aluminum mast with in-mast furling mainsail. Her excellent sailing performance and clean decks with unique hydraulic boom will without doubt turn heads wherever she goes.
Sails are handled by 4 captive, 6 hydraulic and 2 manual winches.
The hydraulic transom door provide safe and easy launch of yacht’s tender and water toys. Swimming platform also covered by teak and fitted with wide comfortable swim ladder which allows pleasant access to swimming and diving activities.
Maximum attention has been paid to comfort and safety thanks to a 10 cm thickness an extensive thermal, vibration and acoustic insulation, which ensures a superior noise reduction. Completely new Air conditioning / heating ( "Climma" 148.000 BTU) system has been installed throughout the vessel. Every cabin individually controlled by Digital Panel.
In 2010 ORIEL was fitted with a new powerful Stern thruster and improved Bow thrusters which assists in safe and easy maneuverings in confined spaces.
Additional Fuel /Range information:
Motoring only – Transatlantic range - 3,200 miles at 8 knots . Approximately 14 days pure engine (No sailing or sail assist) calm conditions. With normal tanks full, burn is around 1500 liters per day.
At 10 knots burn goes up to around 1650 / day.
At 11 knots burn reaches approximately 1800 liters per day
At the supper economy end of the scale at 7 knots, burn drops to around 1300 to 1400 liters per day.
Sailing gives unlimited range remembering that the generators burn 160 to 200 liters per day depending on load (how hot the weather etc.).
However ORIEL was conceived as a motor sailor capable of maintaining a high average speed and is much happier motor sailing than any other configuration.
For the last two years we have operated with no budget limitations just common sense.
