The Newport 33 is a Gary Mull design that enjoys a reputation as an affordable fin keel, spade rudder, masthead rig, cruiser/club racer sailboat. The builder, Capital Yachts of Harbor City, California, was one of the most popular manufacturers of family cruising and racing sailboats for many years. Reputable designers (e.g. Gary Mull, C&C) married their designs to the Newport name and the vessels are still popular, AFFORDABLE!, and found throughout the country.
