Designed by the very successful yacht designers Judel/Vrolijk, the J/V 38 “Shooting Star” is a full carbon racer optimized for ORC racing. The many regatta successes prove this. “Shooting Star” is in a technically and optically perfect condition. Only sailed in sweet water on Lake Constance, south Germany! Ready for the new regatta season and also very interesting as a project for the ORC World Championship 2023 in Kiel. Additional Information

The extremely successful and very well maintained J/V 38 “Shooting Star” is in "Ready to Race" condition.

She has been developed and constructed as an ORC racer by the owner together with the design office von Judel/Vrolijk as a winning ship for the ORC measurement formula. It was built weight-optimized in all Prepreg Carbon with Corecell Foam from Speedwave Germany.

Mast, boom and rig were jointly developed by Southern Spars and North Sails, designed for best performance and built in high modulus by Southern Spars. The rig is also from Southern Spars and consists of carbon fibers with high durability.

The ship is fully optimized within the ORC rules.

It has proven its exceptional performance by winning all ORC main regattas (on Lake Constance) multiple times in recent years.
