Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49

The Philippe Briand designed Sun Odyssey 49 is one of the best looking Jeanneau yachts ever built. The construction method used employs single skin Kevlar reinforced GRP and conventional wooden frames. She has clear wide side decks, a large cockpit with twin steering wheels, a powerful battened mainsail and a furling genoa.

JACKPOT is the 'Classical' version with the deep keel, an owners layout with a large double up front and two cabins aft.  She is a highly equipped yacht, many desirable cruising extras... watermaker, generator, bow thruster etc etc.. 

Accommodation

Full forward the air conditioned owner's double with en suite bathroom. The saloon has a raised dining table with the excellent linear galley adjacent. All mattress and settee fabric covers were new in 2019.

The two doubles aft are a good design with good standing space at the head of each berth. These cabins share the day bathroom opposite the nav station. All cabins have 12VDC outlets plus USB outlets.

A 40'' LED mounted flat screen TV for DVD's and a CD player for entertainment, installed new in 2019.  Car stereo c/w two speakers in saloon and two speakers in cockpit.

The whole interior is very well ventilated from the ten deck hatches.  Lighting throughout is LED.  The cabin soles were all fully refurbished in 2021 and the interior as a whole presents very well.

Two, hot and cold plus transom shower.

Heads

Two, one in each stateroom.  One is a manual JABSCO and the other is a NATURE'S HEAD composting head which was installed in 2019.   The previous JABSCO that was replaced by the composting head is stored onboard and the holding tank for it has been removed and put into storage ready to be reinstated if required by new owners.

Galley

Large linear design with exceptional fridge / freezer capacities. 

• Double stainless sink with mixer tap c/w separate drinking tap from a BACFREE filter / purifier unit

Batteries and Electrics

The yacht's AC system is 240VAC, shore power inlet and distribution.  PRONAUTIC 1250 50 amp battery charger. 

The yacht's DC system is 12VDC.  2 x 300 watt inverters.  1 x 3000 watt pure sinewave inverter (6000 watts peak performance)

• 8 x AGM house batteries totaling 1080 amps (2019)

The yacht's charging is from 4 x 360 watt solar panels delivering up to 75 amps c/w 2 x MPPT charge controllers, all installed in 2019.   BALMAR ARS-5 multi stage Voltage Regulator/Charger and BALMAR 100 amp main engine alternator (2017).

• FISCHER PANDA 10000i PMS generator.  This is a 10Kva fixed genset c/w sound insulation.  Fuel fed from factory dedicated fuel lines. Only 75 genuine hours. (2017)
• RAINMAN 220vac 120 lph watermaker.  Can be run via genset or pure sine inverter. (2019)
• 7,000 BTU marine aircon unit in owner's cabin
• 12,000 BTU portable aircon unit for saloon area

Original 7/8 fractional deck stepped rig.  Original 1x19 standing rigging.  All running rigging replaced in 2019.
