Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43 from 2002. With its double spreader rig and large sail wardrobe, this is a popular choice for the long passage maker. This particular boat has crossed the Atlantic and is ready to go again.
Sailing Today April 2009 said, "Fantastic for sailing with friends and family for a week of Mediterranean sun, but not what the average cruising owner would want. They would much rather have a more spacious owners cabin with en-suite heads. That is where the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43 pulls a clever trick and transforms herself from four to three cabins. Bulkheads slide out from grooves and can be re-positioned to change the internal layout of the yacht. The fact that this is a boat designed chiefly for sunshine sailing is evident in the cockpit. Twin wheels and a clever drop down transom seat allow access to the bathing platform and the mainsail track is well out of the way on the coach roof, the large fixed cockpit table provides useful bracing when heeled over. The sloping helm seats and foot rests show that the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43 is about more than just sunbathing.
