Description

Following the tremendous success of the Sun Odyssey 349, the NEW Sun Odyssey 350 is a high-performance, easy-to-handle cruising sailboat featuring the clever innovations and comfort of the new walkaround generation of Sun Odyssey sailboats.

Performance is key for this new generation sailboat. The bow on the Sun Odyssey rises out of the water to provide soft steering, allowing the boat to remain ultra stable on route, and creating a short radius of gyration. The addition of a bow thruster provides ample aid while docking.

On deck, ease of movement is gained by the additional of the revolutionary walkaround decks, creating a step free cockpit, and step free access to the bow. Equipment includes an electric windlass, and a large aft folding transom which spans almost the width of the stern. Twin helms provide ideal vision for the helmsperson, and real data from the Raymarine electronics packages. A large folding cockpit table provides comfort for guests onboard.

Three keel options provide ample choice for the sailor, including deep keel at 6'5", shoal draft at 4'9", and the lifting keel of 4'2" to 8'4". Our stock boats are typically ordered in the shoal draft version to aid passage along the ICW, but all three keel options are available to order. All keel choices offer exceptional performance, ease of use and accessibility.

The Sun Odyssey 350 is the FIRST boat in the range to offer inland sailors the option of Electric Pod propulsion using the Pod Cruise 6.0 FP Torqlink complete with helm station control and performance data, powered by lithium ion batteries. Coastal cruisers are advised to select the inboard Yanmar 29hp shaftdrive engine.

Below decks, for superb cruises with family, this sailboat features a welcoming saloon with a contemporary design.  Interior living spaces are bathed in light, streaming through wide windows in the hull and coachroof, and provide ample views of the sea.  In the evening, indirect lighting contributes to a warm, serene atmosphere on board. With standing headroom of over 6ft4in throughout, the saloon and cabins feel spacious and inviting. Both the forward and aft double berths are large with mattress lengths of 6'6", and including ambient lighting, natural light, and storage.

Available cabin configurations includes a 2 cabin with optional garage, or 3 cabin. Both choices have the option of either having a built in chart table, or an additional lounging seat. Where selected, the lounging seat creates a forward facing chaise longue with additional arm rest for exceptional comfort. The heads are spacious and the 2 cabin version include a shower which is completely separated from the head, with access to the garage behind.

The L shaped galley is perfect for cooking and includes the option of a grill oven with twin burners, and a 100L fridge. Ample storage is found both above and below the large countertop.

Standard Interior Features also include:

One-level interior with no door sills • Leather-wrapped handrails • Direct and indirect LED lighting • Large, double berths • Fully-upholstered hull sides and ceiling • Large storage spaces, seaworthy with fiddles.

• Laminate white counter top, with fiddles • Stainless steel sink • Fridge 100 L / 26 US gal, 12 V with top access to better maintain the cold air • Freezer compartment.

• Woodwork in Alpi® Teak or grey Cedar • UV stabilised varnish • Ceruse light Oak laminate floorboards • Numerous solid wood mouldings.

Exterior Design

The Sun Odyssey 350 boasts a modern and sleek exterior design characterized by its innovative bow and hull shape. The yacht features a negative bow, which not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also contributes to its performance by improving waterline length and reducing drag. The deck is designed with functionality and safety in mind, offering easy access around the boat without crossing any steps, thanks to its walkaround side decks. The cockpit is equipped with polyester seats and floor, with options for upgrading to Iro-deck for enhanced durability and aesthetics. Additionally, the yacht includes a GRP bowsprit with an integrated anchor roller, facilitating easier anchoring and retrieval.

Sails and Performance

The Sun Odyssey 350 is equipped with a variety of sails designed for optimal performance across different sailing conditions. The standard main sail is semi-battened, with options for a furling main or a performance full-battened main sail. The yacht also offers a furling genoa, a self-tacking jib, and options for a Code 0 and spinnaker for downwind sailing. The rigging system includes a centerline Y-bridle system, which allows for good boom angulation similar to that of a mainsail track without the need for adjustments during tacks. This, combined with the friction rings for precise sail adjustments, enhances the sailing experience by making it easier to handle the sails and optimize performance.

INTERIOR

The Sun Odyssey 350 is available in two interior layouts: a 2-cabin/1-head configuration with a chart table, and a 3-cabin/1-head configuration . The interior is designed to maximize space and comfort, featuring modern and performance hull benefits that increase domestic volumes. The yacht offers spacious living areas with real dedicated living areas, practical and aesthetic details, and easy circulation[1]. Large fixed hull ports and windows along the coachroof provide ample natural light and ventilation, enhancing the onboard living experience. The separated shower in the 2-cabin version adds an extra level of comfort and privacy.

Electronic Packages and Equipment

The Sun Odyssey 350 is equipped with advanced electronic packages tailored for cruising, offshore, and ocean sailing. These packages include options for two 16” screens, Raymarine Axiom, transducer Raymarine P79, and upgraded electronic packages including VHF. The yacht also features an electric pod option for the engine, offering an environmentally-friendly, silent, and lightweight alternative to traditional diesel engines. The electric pod is equipped with a high-efficiency motor, a high-capacity lithium battery, and a comprehensive battery management system, ensuring reliability and ease of use.

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 350 is a modern sailing yacht that stands out for its innovative design and features, making it an excellent choice for both cruising and performance sailing.

The Sun Odyssey 350's design is characterized by its chined hull with an inverted bow, which not only contributes to its aesthetic appeal but also enhances its hydrodynamic performance. The elongated bowsprit serves dual purposes, improving the yacht's anchoring capabilities and sail handling for downwind performance. The yacht's innovative design features, including walkaround side decks and off-centered twin steering wheels, improve safety, comfort, and ease of handling. Below deck, the Sun Odyssey 350 offers a bright and spacious interior with options for different layouts, ensuring comfort and versatility for both short cruises and longer voyages[5].

In summary, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 350 combines innovative design with practical features and specifications, making it a versatile and appealing option for sailors looking for a compact yet capable cruising yacht.
