ALIBI is a J/120 built in France in 2000 and owned by her original owner. She has a carbon fiber mast, new aluminum boom and a UBI Major roller furling system (allowing a hanked-on sail to be furled). Her original engine was replaced in 2018 with a new Volvo D2-40 engine and 130S saildrive. In 2019 her electronics suite was upgraded with new B&G H5000 sailing instruments, B&G H2 autopilot drive, Garmin 20/20 displays and B&G Zeus 3s chart plotter. Rudder bearings were replaced in 2020. The boat is set up for shorthanded coastal and offshore cruising and racing. ALIBI has an impressive record on various race courses, having won her class in multiple editions of the Newport Bermuda Race, Marion Bermuda Race, Halifax Race, Vineyard Race and Block Island Race.The J120 is an impressive 40-footer, a performance machine with cruising accommodations.
