Description

40' Island Packet 40 '97 "Paradisea"

The attention to detail has been remarkable on this Island Packet 40. Very seldom are we able to say “Add your food and clothing and take off for destinations of your choosing.” PARADISEA easily qualifies. She recently completed and 18,000 mile cruise from Alaska to Panama and back and is well-prepared for more extended cruising. The list of spares is extensive and meticulously detailed as to storage location. Truly a Must See!

Accommodations

Enter through the companionway to a very functional U-shaped galley to starboard followed by an aft-facing nav station, an L-shaped settee/berth (which converts to a double) and a fold-down dinette table adjacent to the mast on the starboard side.

To port of the companionway is the entrance to the aft cabin featuring a double berth, hanging locker and drawers. Next forward is the enclosed head with shower which can be accessed from either the aft cabin or the salon. Forward of the head is a settee/berth with storage above, outboard and below. Salon settees have built-in lee cloths and cushions were recovered with a beautiful Sunbrella in 2018.

Forward of the mast is the master stateroom which features a double Pullman berth with custom mattress to starboard, closet and drawers to port and an enclosed head forward with shower and vanity.

All interior lights are LED.

The entire interior is beautifully appointed in teak and is kept well-ventilated with ample dorade vents, deck hatches, opening ports and the companionway.

Engine is located directly behind the companionway steps.
