A lovely modern classic, built by the superb yard of Gannon and Benjamin located in Martha’s Vineyard, the home of many classic yachts, both commercial and pleasure. She has sailed on both sides of the Atlantic, participated in classic regattas and is currently concluding her tenure at the Mystic Seaport Museum, where she was donated three years ago. REBECCA has been used at the Mystic Seaport for day sailing, charters, etc., and also as a training platform. She is now ready to take off for another adventure.

Blocks:
  • All block cleaned and serviced. Varnish stripped on about half of them and built up 8-10 coats of Epifanes wood finish gloss. Anything that wasn’t stripped got three coats Epifanes Wood Finish gloss.
  • Main first reef block: new axel and bushings.
  • Main halyard block: new axel and rollers.

 

Varnish:
  • Foremast stripped. 4 coats Epifanes PP two-part Varnish, four coats Epifanes Wood Finish Gloss.
  • Mainmast three coats Epifanes Wind finish gloss.
  • Main boom stripped four coats Epifanes PP two-part varnish, four coats Epifanes wood finish gloss.
  • Fore boom, Foregaff, Stays club : three coats Epifanes wood finish gloss.

 

Other:
  • Seizing wire - 3/32in annealed 316SS 7x1.
  • Also 1/8in annealed 316SS 7x1.
  • Mast hoops all new, ordered from R & W rigging.
  • All winches cleaned and serviced.
