Description

"Aurora" (ex-Blondie), is now for sale exclusively with Ancasta Race Boats.
One of the top boats in the IRC 2 class and still taking top places at major regattas, shows "Aurora" is still bang on the money.
New sails in the quiver for 2019 and again in 2022 and upgraded keel work from Corby, makes her a more forgiving owner-driver machine.
Particularly strong in the light to medium airs, but with an optimized and upgraded sail inventory, she still has the ability to hold onto the longer/wider boats in class throughout the upper wind ranges too.
A real head turner and looking for another passionate owner, "Aurora" is ready to go!
Currently located in Sweden with EU or UK VAT paid.

Accommodation;
Aurora has a nice "race boat" style interior, with twin pipe cots positioned above the saloon berths and a functional, open-plan feel.
A stripped out fore peak can easily be converted for use as another double berth if required, but it has been used as sail storage thus far and to reduce weight from the bow area.

A simple galley area off to port at the base of the companion way steps is ideal for servicing the crew quickly and a proper navigation table off to starboard is highly useful.
Moving aft there are two small twin berths, which have again been stripped out for racing.
6 people can sleep comfortably, with 8 at a push and 10 if you convert the bow section slightly.
A mid-ships WC and sink off to port and shower head attachment.
Fuel tank aft under cockpit sole.

Extras;
Assorted safety kit supplied with the boat, compliance is believed to be to ISAF CAT 4 status (no guarantees)
Emergency Tiller
Anchor , chain , warp
Life ring.

Seago 8 man life raft (needs servicing)
Navigation lights
Warps and fenders.
Bucket.

1 x short IRC bowsprit for code 0 sails.

Bridge

Originally built by Corby Yachts for Royal Cork's Eamonn Rohan in 2006 and known as Blondie, She then became "Impetuous" and was twice winner of Irish IRC Championships and also a top scoring yacht out of 174 entries in Scottish Series.
