Considered to be one of the most beautiful Classic 6 Metre yachts ever built. ANTINEA (FIN-24) was built by the renowned Råholmens Båtvarva to designs by Einar Olofsson in 1928 and has been sympathetically restored and refitted by her current owners.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
In the same ownership for the past 30 years, this magnificent piece of yachting history was purchased in 1989 and over the course of 5 years was completely rebuilt in accordance with the original drawings of her designer Einar Olofsson by her owners. Following her complete rebuild, her owners have continued to update and refit ANTINEA to improve upon her already stunning sailing capabilities. A new lead keel was designed by Kamu Strålman in 2005 and new deck layout was made for the World Cup in 6mR in Helsinki in 2011.

OWNER’S COMMENTS:
The 6 Metre Class yachts were an Olympic class, the class was also favoured by Americas cup sailors to adjust and optimize their larger yachts for racing. This has lead to a highly competitive international class today. The performance of the yacht is excellent and would please any sailor. ANTINEA was built by the best shipwrights and carpenters in the world in the same region as brands like Nautors Swan and Baltic are built. ANTINEA is truly in excellent condition and would not need any work on the construction. She was built of the very finest materials. ANTINEA has been campaigned successfully by ourselves through two generations of family ownership, participating in numerous Worlds and European championships including most recently the 2019 World Championships hosted here in Hanko and supported by our shipyard.
BUILDER’S BACKGROUND:
ANTINEA was built at Råholmens båtvarv by the Hongell Family. The Hongells’ shipyard produced 70 to 80 hand-crafted yachts over the years with the family was also an eager sail racing family. They have built many “sixes” and often used Einar Oloffson as the designer. The yachts are often seen as the most beautiful on the docks of Helsinki during the 1920 and 1930s. ANTINEA is rapidly approaching her 100th birthday and is a real piece of racing history.
