Designed by Sam Manuard and built in 2015 by the JPS Production shipyard, renowned for the quality of its construction, Kite is a fast, proven, and reliable race boat with great results. Not only did ‘Kite’ Mach 40.3 hold the Class 40 24-hour speed record she quickly found her way onto the podium with many early race triumphs. Most notable were the Fastnet and TJV wins in 2017.

The emergence of the Class 40 ‘sharp bow’ category within the Class 40 rankings gives the possibility for good amateur teams to compete against the optimised scows, as well as race within their own category.
