Description

We have known LUNATIC FRINGE and her last two sets of owners for almost twenty years. She has received regular upgrades and exceptional care and maintenance. This particular boat is very clean and is realistically priced. On top of all that, she is a dream to sail and will be a delight to own.CS (Canadian Sailcraft) is renowned for building a seaworthy sailboat that is a comfortable cruising boat, easy to sail, yet can hold its own in a race. All joinery and bulkheads are teak and teak veneer. Other surfaces are lined with washable vinyls or plastic laminates. All cabin soles are teak and holly backed by mahogany marine grade plywood. The forward cabin has a double v-berth and each has a bin locker under and a cave locker above. The head is fitted with a marine type head and a molded washbasin is set into the vanity top and a shower sump is molded into the compartment sole with a teak grate over. There is a cedar-lined hanging locker to port, the door of which seals off the forward cabin. The locker is fitted with a shelf and hanging bar. On the starboard side is the L-shaped settee berth, which converts into a full size double berth 6' 5'' in length. On the port side is a single settee berth. Outside of the settees are cane-paneled lockers and deep, fiddled bookshelves. The salon table is fixed with two hinged leaves. A full size navigator's area is located athwartships with the navigational equipment located at the aft end of the saloon. This well-kept, shoal-draft boat has had many upgrades in the past, including an engine rebuild in 1995, a Lofrans Royal manual windlass, custom anchor holder, stereo system with Sirius capabilities, Atkins and Hoyle swivel davits, upgraded electrical system and more. As well, she just had her bottom epoxied in 2016 by a professional yard. Her decks were recored in 2000 and are still quite dry and sound.Whether LUNATIC FRINGE is to be used for summer sailing, family outings, or outfitted to head south, this well-priced sailing craft is definitely worth strong consideration.Show More
