The boat was rescued from scrapping and restored/rebuilt over a period of several years. More than 30 tonnes of German oak was used for this purpose. The boat is characterised by its numerous details, making it incomparable to any other Botter in terms of quality. The mast can easily be moved electrically. The Fides is for sale together with a boathouse on its own land in Heeg, Friesland. The boathouse is located in the middle of the Frysian lakes area. The Fides can be viewed on appointment.
