The very best proven design features of the Seawind 1160 & 1260, are further developed and packaged into a new set of modern lines. 100% new tooling, underwater shape, interior moulding, styling, and finishes. Ergonomics, layout, and functionality are in common with the Seawind 1160 and 1260.The Seawind 1170 is set up with a longeron beam standard with optional stayless carbon bowsprit. This allows you to run a self-taking jib or genoa from the forestay, furling screecher from the longeron beam and spinnaker off the bowsprit. Plus a square top mainsail.The hull shape features chines on the inboard and outboard hulls, providing both reserve buoyancy, and interior space, yet keeping the hull shape efficient.
