Description

The Downeaster was built in the US as a heavyweight cruiser and has proved very dependable, an excellent sea boat when conditions become hard, she will carry her crew safely and keep them rested easily.  ANTARES comes to the market as a familiar yacht in these waters and is only regretfully for sale.  Recent upgrades include a new bowsprit and new chainplates.  If you are seeking a dependable go anywhere yacht this yacht should be on your radar.

 

Accommodation

Entering the yacht gives an immediate feeling of space and massive headroom.  Full forward the double cabin, next the bathroom and saloon is comfy, offering another double there if required.  There could be another single berth behind the nav station, presently set aside for stowage.

House bank is two POWERBATT 150 amp batteries. Separate two POWERBATT 150 amp engine batteries. DC charging from four solar panels c/w solar regulator, AEROGEN 6 blade wind generator,  and two engine alternators, 1 x 80 amp HITACHI and 1 x BALMAR 100 amp c/w 3 stage regulator.
