41' Don Senior Antares 41 '82 "Antares"

The 1982 Antares 41 was way ahead of its time with an open transom walk through boarding platform/swim step. She is a cold-molded vessel with three skins with West epoxy sheathing the entire hull which provides excellent strength to weight ratio, low maintenance and super sound resistance and temperature insulation properties. She has successfully sailed to a PHRF rating of 75.

Accommodations

V-berth forward followed by an enclosed head to port and a cabinet and hanging locker to starboard.

Next aft is the main salon which features a large U-shaped dinette which converts to a double berth to port and a settee berth to starboard. There is ample storage both below and outboard of the settees.

An L-shaped galley is to port of the companionway and to starboard is the entrance to the nav station and quarter berth.

Hull is cold-molded with three skins of kahikatea wood molded around a rigid kahikatea frame and a classic kauri keelson fastened with Monel staples and copper nails. An outside sheath of glass is added, providing for low maintenance needs.
