Alerion Express 28

The Alerion Express 28 is the quintessential daysailer with gorgeous lines and respectable proportions in ballast to displacement and sail area to waterline.  The Schumacher design is a tribute to the 1912 Nathaniel Herreshoff "Alerion" which created a stir for her looks and performance when she debuted in 1912. These are very well built and nicely finished.This is a wonderful all around boat that can hold her own on the race course and provide a lovely platform for day sailing and overnight cruising. She has a powerful yet easy to manage sailplan with a fully battened main, self tacking Hoyt boom, and Harken roller jib furler. With ease of handling in mind, all lines are led aft to the cockpitThere is a spacious v-berth forward with a filler cushion and demi-head. The main cabin has a settee to port with storage below and outboard.  To starboard is a stainless steel sink with manual fresh water, a settee and a nav/chart station aft of that.  A 38-gallon ice box inside the companionway does double duty as a step down.Patricia'scustom topsides in pale teal with matching cushions make her a true head turner.
