The Island Packet 40 is a well-designed and well-built sailboat that offers a comfortable and safe platform for long-term offshore cruising and long-term living aboard.

Sarantium was freshwater sailed for most of her life and then the existing owner has cruised extensively six months at a time over the last 13 years. Sarantium has been carefully maintained and continuously upgraded by her carpenter owner.

Recent survey with a very positive assessment: “The vessel is well constructed and impeccably maintained. The hull and deck gelcoat are in exceptional condition for the age of the vessel. The interior joinery is in excellent condition.”

 Island Packets are known for their robust and high-quality build. Sarantium is a great example of that workmanship

 Robust integral “Foil Keel” with lead ballast. No corrosion issues or keel bolts to worry about !

 

INTERIOR

 Spacious interior with solid finely crafted teak throughout. Ample ventilation and light through the multitude of opening ports and hatches

 The saloon provides an unobstructed socializing area with a varnished teak and holly sole, a “L’ shaped settee, and a large, foldaway bulkhead mounted table. The settee folds out to provide another double berth

 Large wrap-around galley with the extensive storge and preparation space one expects in an Island Packet. The owner has added many well-crafted innovations including custom backsplash and extra preparation space.

 The master suite is forward with an oversized double pullman to starboard and a large private head an shower

 Aft there is the exceptionally large double berth.

 The aft head has private access from the guest cabin or from the saloon.

 Large chart table with monitor mount plus a custom fold down work bench.

 Very extensive storage throughout the vessel – ready for extended cruising in comfort.
