Main Description
The Gozzard 37a is a classic design that is built for both performance and comfort. The attention to detail and the superb construction is a testament to the dedication and skill of the craftsmen at Gozzard Yachts. LIBERTY is has been meticulously maintained with no expense spared from the immaculate bright work outside to the engine compartment below. She spent three years sailing in Bermuda and the Caribbean and then could be found in the fresh waters of the Chesapeake before making her home in Eastern NC. She is a classic beauty that any owner can be proud to sail and do it in safety and comfort.

Some examples of her most recent maintenance and updates include:

  • Rebedded Four Port Lights in the Galley and Nav Station Area (June 2023)
  • New Running Rigging (May 2021)
  • Sails Inspected (2021)
  • New Batteries (May 2020)
  • Fresh Bottom Paint (April 2020)
  • Two New Fuel Tanks (2019)
Accommodations

The interior is both elegant and cozy with a beautiful cherry finish, Ultrasuede upholstery, and innovative open concept design. LIBERTY has the A plan layout that includes a two-place dinette with a separate nav station and a freezer over refrigeration box arrangement.
The forward cabin/salon easily converts from a large centerline queen size berth to dining for 6 at the large table, to a comfortable settee area with coffee table. Behind the settee backs are storage areas with room for the large dinette table. Additional storage is aft of the seats both port and starboard. The midship bulkhead is hinged to easily convert the forward salon into a private stateroom.

Moving aft, to port is the forward-facing navigation station and the refrigeration/freezer cabinet. On the starboard side is the dinette followed by the L-shaped galley. Aft on the port side is the head with a separate shower stall. A Raritan Lectra/San electric head with fold down seat in the shower stall. Just inside the privacy door is a vanity with stainless steel sink, Corian countertop, storage cabinet, two drawers, and a 110V outlet below the sink, a cabinet and opening portal above the sink, and a mirror on the bulkhead beside the vanity.

Aft on the starboard side is the aft cabin with a king-size berth, additional locker for clothes, and convenient access to the engine compartment behind the lifting companionway steps.

Ports and hatches have built-in screens. All of the ports have white curtains. Canvas hatch covers protect the hatches from the sun and keep the interior cooler. The companionway has an overhead sliding screen and separate companionway screen doors (fold-in). Night courtesy floor lights illuminate passageways.
Ventilation is provided by:
  • Two 24" x 24" hatches
  • Two 8" x 14" hatches
