Bilge keel Sadler 29s are ever popular yachts with an outstanding reputation for sailing performance and sea keeping. They are attractive and accommodating craft and the deep cockpit promotes a feeling of safety. This boat has in mast furling, a particular benefit for those who require ultra simple sail handling.
The hull and deck were built by Sadler, the interior was fitted by another (unknown) yard. The construction is single skin, which offers more space than the earlier twin skinned models.
The inventory includes warm air heating, autopilot, Navtex and GPS.
The owner reports that “Mahala” is in good working condition, but a lack of free time has prevented him from completing replacing the headlining and varnishing the interior woodwork – hence the ultra competitive asking price. Once completed, “Mahala” will provide her new owners a great looking, shallow draft yacht that boasts a near unrivalled reputation amongst bilge keel cruisers.

I bought “Mahala” in March 2012 and kept her in Poole since then. We have loved cruising the local area and further across the Channel. She is such a great boat in all conditions and very re-assuring when weather conditions were somewhat iffy. The bilge keels allowed us to enjoy the beautiful, secluded anchoring spots in Poole Harbour.
I have serviced the engine every year and the boat has been ashore every winter throughout my ownership.
Time has become short and I am unable to provide the commitment to “Mahala” she deserves. I am halfway through works to update her interior but I will be unable to complete them. This is why I have priced her so realistically.
