Description

The Maxi 1000 is a Scandinavian sailing cruiser that bears all the hallmarks of craft built in that region - great looks, a fine reputation for performance and a high quality standard of finish. The Maxi 1000 is a particularly attractive yacht that manages to pull off the difficult trick of having good below decks accommodation without compromising the sleek exterior lines.

The Maxi 1000 is a practical yacht as well. There is a huge amount of storage (particularly in the cockpit) and she is easy to handle with a self tacking jib, lazyjacks and all lines led aft to the cockpit. To maximise performance, you can utilise the furling 150% genoa (new in 2021).

"Atlantide" is a white hulled example of her type (saving the issues of maintaining fade prone blue gelcoat) and her very smart decks are laid with synthetic teak. The equipment also includes an electric anchor windlass, Raymarine Evolution autopilot and 2016 standing rigging.

"Atlantide" is lying afloat in Poole. For further information or to arrange a viewing, please call, email or WhatsApp Peter Keats.

Owner's Comments

"Atlantide" has done me proud over the last 8 years and she has given me huge amounts of enjoyment in total comfort and safety. She is distinctive, with attractive lines and will sail well when others are forced to reef, indeed I passage plan for 5 to 6 knots. The headroom, layout and proportions are just perfect for an easy to sail, yet accommodating cruiser.

I believe the boat to be in very good condition, she is on the Part 1 Registry and I have evidence of her VAT paid status. I have kept her regularly maintained and serviced.

I hate to be parting with "Atlantide" but recent health issues have forced me to decide that it is no longer sensible to keep her.
