The current owner of 'Snatch' bought the plans from designer Angelo Lavranos and had her built in Cape Town by Samson Engineering, under Lavranos' close inspection. She was built and has been maintained to a very high standard and has all the service records to prove it. 'Snatch' is currently in Port Owen, South Africa awaiting her new owner.This 1985 Lavranos 43 is powered by a Deutz 912FL3 41hp Air Cooled Engine with oversized twin diesel filter system.The rigging on this Lavranos 43 Cutter rigged sloop includes: running backstays; adjustable backstay; roller furling genoa, new bearing 2016; staysail hood roller furling, spinnaker pole on mast; all rigging replaced with Norseman fittings in 1998 checked in 2016; 3x Barlow Winches on Mast; and 1x Lewmar 16 self tailing winch, on mast.Her sails include: Fully battened main sail (2016); cover for main when on boom; genoa, excellent condition (2012); staysail good condition; gennaker good condition in sock.Accommodation for 6 is provided on this Lavranos 43. There are two double cabins one forward and one aft. A quarter berth and a further single cabin aft.A bathroom provided manual head, basin and shower.The galley is well equipped with double stainless steel sink; 40l 12v fridge freezer; pressurised water system with spare pump; sea water foot pump; Force 10 three-burner gas hob and oven; crockery and cutlery for 6; pots, pans, cooking utensils, glasses and cups.This Lavranos 43 comes well equipped with navigation instruments, such as: sestrel steering compass; fish finder; depth sounder; auto pilot; GPS; hand held GPS; hand held VHF; onboard Dell computer - chart plotter; VHF radio; ham radio; Pactor modem; radar; and windspeed indicator.This Lavranos 43 provides the following deck and safety equipment: twin staggered bow rollers can facilitate 2 anchors; 27 KG Delta anchor, 20 KG Bruce anchor,10 KG Bruce all with chain and line; 1200 watt anchor windlass; 2x self tailing primary winches; 2x secondary winches; 2x self tailing winches, one for main sheet and one for genoa furler; gas barbeque; 3 solar panels; removable cockpit table; 2 fire extinguishers; flares and safety equipment; 8 life jackets; 1 stainless steel swim ladder; and a bimini with sunbrella and shade cloth sides.The electrical equipment found on this Lavranos 43 includes: alternator on drive shaft (serviced in 2016); 110v inverter 1500 watt; 110v wet and dry vacuum cleaner; wind steering; 3 solar panels 150 watt total with regulator; TV aerial on mast; 100amp starter battery (2016); 3x 100amp AGM house batteries (2013); 1 electric bilge pump with float switch; 2 manual bilge pumps; 2 loud speakers in saloon; Sony Radio and CD player; and Sony multi-system TV 220/110.Show More
