Description

$38,000 usd   Project boat Motivated sellerThe 1978 CSY Walkover is a tough, heavy built blue water cruiser. CSY was founded by Jack Van Ost and located in Tampa, Florida and began as a chartering company. CSY boats were built to unusually high standards of strength, durability, and quality consistent with Lloyd's design and boat building requirements. Uniquely, CSY did not use wood lamination in its construction, the only wood used in the construction of these boats are heavy laminated structural stringers, bulkheads and interior furniture. The CSY hull is up to 1.5" of solid fiberglass reinforced plastic resin with 14 dual layers, and the deck is also solid fiberglass. The keel is internal encapsulated 8,900 lb. lead and internal encapsulated 3,000 lb. concrete, the CSY was designed so the 3,000 lb. concrete could be cut off the bottom to make the boat draft 4’11” if desired.S/v It’s Good To Be has got all the potential to be the perfect cruising vessel. She is powered by a Perkins 4-154, 60 hp diesel engine that was rebuilt in 2011 which since then only has 970 hrs. on it. She is a cutter rig with a self-tacking staysail. There are many sails being sold with this vessel, the following are all in good condition: mainsail has 3 full battens, in stack pack with lazy jacks with loose foot, the headsail is a furling Genoa and there’s a hank on staysail with loose foot. Other spare sails that were never used from the previous owner include: a spinnaker, a second large sail and a storm sail. On the bottom, the seacocks were replaced with bronze ball valve seacocks in 2021, except for the engine raw water which is a Spartan Marine tapered valve seacock, replaced in 2015.S/v It’s Good To Be has already got some of the equipment needed for long offshore voyages. She has the capacity to hold 400 gallons of fresh water and 100 gallons of diesel. Her owners just installed four new 150-watt rigid monocrystalline solar panels in 2022, compatible with the Solar Controller Morningstar TS-MPPT60. Also installed were dinghy davits, an outboard motor lift and a swim platform off the stern. She is also being sold with a 9’ inflatable Caribe MVPL-9 dinghy with a 2016 15 hp Yamaha Enduro 2 stroke, E15DMHS outboard. This vessel is a two-sleeping cabin layout with abundant storage and plenty of space at 6’8” headroom and a 13’5” beam. Her galley is equipped with a Force 10, propane 3 burner stove with broiler and oven. For refrigeration there is a Dometic Adler Barbour CU-100 super cold machine, air cooled, with VD152 evaporator installed 2016. There is a Seagull water filter system installed for safe drinking water. Both the vberth and aft cabin have comfortable custom mattresses and the aft cabin has its own head, while the second head is located opposite the galley. The salon is a bright, spacious layout with the starboard settee capable of being turned into another sleeping berth.S/v It’s Good To Be is being sold as a project boat as she needs some TLC to get her ready to go cruising again. The boat has just returned to Rio Dulce  from 6 months cruising  Much more information is available upon request about the list of upgrades, repairs needed. Given the reputation of the CSY, this vessel would be an incredibly worthy investment and make someone the perfect solid cruising vessel. s/v It’s Good To Be is a must see!Telepohne or Whatts App +1 502-4027-1112Show More
