Description

The Catalina 400 is designed to incorporate the performance, accommodations and features every sailor would want.  A double steering layout with stainless handholds and 5-inch compasses. There are wide weather decks with textured non-skid, gently angled surfaces without sharp corners.  There is a hot and cold fresh water cokpit shower.  Two ample easil accesed large storage lockers provide lots of storage on deck.  Belowdeck, you?ll find an environment that functions underway and in the harbor for quiet retreats as well for entertaining guests.  Several opening hatches assure abundant light and ventilation throughout the
main cabin. The comfortable navigation desk is amidships, and comes with a swivel chair, which can work as an office if needed. The owners cabin aft is highlighted by the oversize double berth, with numerous storage lockers within
arm's reach. Two separate dressing areas, each with an upholstered seat and hanging locker.

Cabin Appointments

HEADLINER: White FRP. Good condition. No signs of stress or leaking.

ACCOMMODATIONS: For 7 people. Two accommodated aft berth, three in the salon and two in V-berth. Real mattresses in the Aft and Fwd cabin.
2 HEADS: Aft is marine manual head with Corian countertop, pressure water hot and cold faucet with drain in sole. 
Forward head is a marine manual head with Corian countertop, pressure water hot and cold showerhead faucet with drain in sole.
LIGHT FIXTURES: Mounted throughout cabin to provide adequate lighting.

FURNISHINGS: All furnishings are built in except for wood cabin table. Serviceable.

CABIN SOLE: Teak and holly veneer on wood. Well fitted.

HORSEPOWER: 41 
INDICATED HOURS: 2224.6 on analog meter at helm
THROTTLE CONTROLS: Smooth and easy single control in cockpit
ENGINE MOUNTS AND BED: Flexible. Serviceable with no signs of stress, new according to owner.
EXHAUST SYSTEM: Exhaust leaves through engine riser and inline muffler and overboard above waterline
INSULATION: There is sufficient insulation on the bulkheads and hatch enclosing the engine. Providing noise dampening.
BLOWER: to remve hot air from the engine compartment
PROP SHAFT: 1 1/4? shaft with three-blade 18? Maxprop.
appears new. Anodes on prop and shaft are new.

STUFFING BOX: Rubber boot, double clamped. Appears serviceable.

TANK: Secured in starboard settee frame,  44 gallons according to owner’s manual onboard. Guage located at the Helm station 

FILL PIPE LOCATION: Starboard aft.
