Class 40 Akilaria

Launched in 2013 ‘Amhas’ is a renowned Akilaria RC3 design which benefits from improvements on its popular predecessors, RC1 & RC2. With a significant refit investment in 2021/2 ‘Amhas’ is currently racing in the Globe 40 La Grand Route.  She has had one owner from new and has been professionally maintained by Maine Yacht Centre, the USA specialists in Class 40 and IMOCA refits. ‘Amhas’ has been stored inside a heated building when not being raced and is in great condition.

‘Amhas’ has been raced largely in the USA with good results including a 3rd in the Atlantic Cup 2018, and currently lying 2nd in the Globe 40. She will make an ideal entry level boat for Class 40 racing or other global challenges. She is a great all-rounder with few vices and a renewed inventory, updated to the highest specification of gear and rigging modifications. She will be ready to view post-race in Lorient in March 2023.
