Description

Introducing ZORANA, hull number 271, and a fine example of the Kelly Peterson 44 fast offshore cruiser. She has carried her owners twice around the world in safety and comfort, and is ready to go again. The owners are highly skilled and credentialed sailors. They made a decision to keep the systems simple and wanted nothing aboard they could not fix. They have lovingly and continuously updated and maintained ZORANA, which resulted in 40 years of circumnavigating and cruising success. Their most recent trip was from North Carolina to Maine in the summer of 2023.

Accommodations

Entering forward down below, the U shaped galley is to port and the forward-facing navigation station is to starboard. Moving forward, the main saloon has a settee to port and a large folding table. A bench settee to starboard converts to a double berth. Cupboards and bookshelves are on both sides. The mast comes through the middle of the main saloon providing a perfect handhold offshore. Forward is a roomy head with shower to port. A large cabinet is to starboard and has a shelf with fiddle. The forward stateroom has a privacy door and access to the head.

Moving aft, on the port side is the walk-thru where the engine room has excellent access via the removable sliding doors. To starboard is the battery compartment and tons of storage space. The spacious and comfortable aft stateroom has a queen-sized berth, a private head, and its own companionway with ladder.

Stay comfortable at the dock or at anchor with plenty of ventilation provided by 14 bronze opening ports, 3 hatches, and 2 companionways. LED lighting throughout the interior helps conserve power. The teak and holly sole attached to thick plywood underneath provides both elegance and strength. Pack everything you need with tons of storage above and below deck.
