The EdE J is a rare, single-owner Endeavour 42 Center Cockpit Sailing Yacht. It has been extensively updated by the owner to enable extended cruising. Cruising grounds were the Great Lakes, North Channel and Georgian Bay. The major upgrades in 2013 and 2014 prepared the boat to complete the Great Loop which it did between August 6, 2014 and August 7, 2015. During their 38 years of ownership, they have logged over 32,000 Cruising miles.
Designed by Johan Valentiin and built in 1985 by the Endeavour Yacht Corporation of Largo Florida the boat was the Queen of the 1986 Cleveland Boat Show. It was launched in June 1986 and sailed from downtown Cleveland to The Cleveland Yachting Club in Rocky River where it has been docked ever since.
The Endeavour 42 is a heavy displacement, coastal cruiser with a displacement of 25,000 pounds with 9,000 pounds of internal ballast. Drafting slightly over 5 feet with full tankage and cruising supplies, the Endeavour 42 can access most cruising grounds with ease. With high freeboard, the Center Cockpit remains dry in most sailing conditions.
The interior consists of an aft master stateroom with a queen berth and private head and shower. The V-Berth shares a head and shower with the main salon. While the interior is fully air conditioned, the 5 opening deck hatches and 10 opening ports provide excellent ventilation at anchor or underway.
The main salon contains a 52” round drop leaf table providing ample space for dining and entertaining. The ceiling height of 6’4” makes walking around comfortable.
The EdE J is cruise ready for a new owner.
