Description

We are excited to announce our NEW Hybrid option for the Antares 44. We assembled a team of customers, owners, and engineers to design a proven technology solution without compromising our high standards.

Now, more than ever, the Antares is equipped for world travel, seamlessly plugging into any marina worldwide while adding the safety and convenience of all-electric appliances.

Disclaimer

We completely redesigned the cockpit, increasing space, increasing window sizes, and adding streamlined seating that is easier to lounge, without compromising our excellent helm position or the ability to manage all lines in the cockpit easily.

We’ve made more items standard while adding even more interior ventilation and headroom!

  • Two NEW forward-facing hatches in the salon are now standard for even more fresh air. Our cabins are standard with FIVE hatches that open for plenty of ventilation, even in the hot tropical weather.
  • Headroom has increased in the aft cabins by 6.5 inches (170mm). This now provides an industry-leading 6.75 feet (2070mm) of headroom!
  • NEW Stainless Steel armrests in the cockpit.
  • Port standup locker in the cockpit for storage or a refrigerator or ice maker.

Key Benefits of Hybrid Model

Safety and redundancy-each hull can run as electric or diesel

Electric Propulsion-2-3 hours of motoring

Efficient-parallel hybrid is more efficient than a serial hybrid

Simple Service-easy to service in remote areas

Reduced Emissions & Services-two engines vs. three

40kWh of Lithium-useful while living “on the hook”

Increased Solar-50% more solar-1,800 watts

Hydro Regeneration-640 watts/hr @ 7 knots

Minimal Weight Increase <150kgs

 Construction
The hull and deck are constructed of Isophthalic acid resin and tri-axial knitted fiberglass fabric. The skinning layer is 100% vinylester on the exterior and polyester on the interior. Above the waterline, the hulls and deck are cored with 3⁄4” Corecell foam, except for hardware attachment points. All coring is vacuum-bagged to ensure 100% adhesion. Below the waterline, the hulls are solid fiberglass. There are two
(2) forward watertight compartments, one inside each bow locker, as well as four (4) watertight bulkheads, two (2) forward and two (2) aft. Standard fin keels have a sacrificial section allowing for substantial damage to the keels without affecting hull integrity. The hull is treated with an epoxy barrier coat and Self Polishing Copolymer Antifouling. The hull color is white.
