Benford 'Badger' Dory Cutter

This is a cutter-rigged version of the Benford ‘Badger’ design made famous by Pete & Annie Hill.  They voyaged extensively on Badger, including numerous Trans-Atlantic crossings, as reported in their books: Voyaging On A Small Income and Brazil and Beyond. The original Benford design called for the cutter rig employed here. The Hills had the designer produce a junk rig schooner sail plan. The listed vessel was built with the reinforcements to allow for a future junk rig conversion. Both the Hills and Jay Benford have inspected the listed yacht in early construction.The yacht’s interior is simply stunning as the photos show.
