Built by the renowned builder Anker & Jensen in Vollen, Norway.
S/Y Flirt is a 47 ft long 9mR with an extensive history in both Norway and Scotland. The yacht was contracted by the vice president of the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club, merchant Alf Rasmussen and named Flirt IV. She was built to compete at the European Week in 1914.
Over the century, she has been under several caretakers - including the well-known yachtsman, John Illingworth, the founder of the world-famous Sidney Hobart Race.
Throught her long life she has been under the following names; Mosk I, LOO III and Torridon.
Since the early 2000s, she has been under great care by the current owner.
A passionate owner who brought S/Y Flirt back to Norway before putting her through a comprehensive million-euro restoration that has made the yacht better than new compared to when she was delivered in 1912.
The restoration work was carried out at the Sollerud Coast Culture Center in Oslo, known for its extensive knowledge and experience with classic wooden yachts. A restoration project that was completed in 2017 over a period of 12 years, with the focus on outstanding quality and craftsmanship, and thoroughness in all stages of the restoration, with materials being the absolute best that could be obtained.
The current owner of SY Flirt is now ready to hand her over to its next passionate owner and caretaker.
Imagine sailing the classic regattas in Monaco, South of England and St Tropez, while at the same time being able to go for a relaxing cruise with your family or friends during summer.
