Allegro is a 1929 John Alden schooner built by Goudy & Stevens. She is located in Chicago USA. Allegro spends her winters in a heat controlled building and summer on a mooring ball in Monroe Street Harbor.
For the last 33 years Allegro has been lovingly maintained by the owner and professionally restored by expert shipwrights including Wayne Shibley of Chicago. The scope of the work includes a new stem in 2005, Angelique keel, centerboard trunk and centerboard and floor timbers in 2012. New teak deck, deck beams, bulwarks, cabin trunk repairs, bowsprit and boomkin in 2016. New horn timber and shaft log in 2018 as well as numerous planks and frames over the years.
Overall boat condition, electrical, plumbing, rigging systems and engine maintenance all excellent.
